Our Mission

Heart Space Yoga, founded in 2008 by Andrea Thibaudeau in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, exists to nurture the light within us all, regardless of where we’ve come from or where we are going. Here, we honor every path, welcoming each soul to heal, grow, and shine together in a space of unconditional acceptance. Our purpose is to create a sanctuary where all can find belonging, rooted in love, compassion, and the shared energy of collective transformation.

Our Founder

Andrea Thibaudeau ERYT500 (she/her) is the director of Heart Space and a yoga teacher with over 20 years of experience. Andrea loves people. Her journey of self-discovery and empowerment has been a lifelong path, during which she has gathered tools and embodied healing practices that have led her to her purpose and light. It is her passion to share these transformative practices with others. Andrea is also certified in Ayurveda Health Counseling, Somatic Depths Life Coaching, and as a Somatic Breathwork Practitioner.

In addition to her teaching, Andrea trains and certifies individuals to become yoga instructors and wellness leaders, empowering them to spread the light of Oneness and wellness throughout the world.

Marci Mikesell

Marci Mikesell

Kundalini Yoga Instructor

Dr. Marci Mikesell, PhD (she/her), is a 500-hour certified Kundalini Yoga instructor who has been teaching weekly classes at Heart Space Yoga in Saint Johnsbury since 2019. After originally training as a research scientist and a decades-long career in the pharmaceutical industry, she turned to yoga and meditation to recover from burnout and build stress resiliency. She completed Kundalini yoga teacher training at the Guru Ram Das Ashram in Millis, Massachusetts in 2018. Since then she has continued discovering and sharing the life-transforming effects of breathwork, movement, mantra, and meditation for restoring a sense of peace, strength, and wholeness in the midst of a chaotic and challenging world. She also completed gong and sound healing training with Gong Master Don Conreaux in the summer of 2023, and incorporates the power of gong vibration into yoga classes as well as offering more extended gong bath experiences.
Laura Remick

Laura Remick

Yoga Teacher

Laura Remick (she/her) is a native of the Northeast Kingdom who grew up on a family dairy farm. Her educational background is in nutrition and health education. Laura stumbled upon yoga as a way to help heal herself from sports-related injuries. In 2017, she completed her 200-hour Yoga Registered Teacher certification with Andrea at Heart Space Yoga. Yoga has provided Laura with tools to balance her physical and emotional wellbeing. She feels deeply honored to share what has helped her with others so that they too may find access to their best selves!Laura’s leisure activities include gardening and growing food, running with her dogs, yoga, biking, and spending time with her family.

Her classes are designed for all levels of yoga practitioners. The practice she offers will focus on proper body alignment as the framework to open and move tight fascial tissue in the body. Through breathing, music, and aligned movement, she invites students of all body types, ages, gender, and experience levels to flow through the practice she offers in a way that feels best for them.

Jeremiah Powell

Jeremiah Powell

Strength Training Teacher

Jeremiah Powell (he/him) is a certified personal trainer (NSCA-CPT) with seven years of experience since graduating from Northern Vermont University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength & Conditioning and a minor in Athletic Coaching.

A former collegiate All-American runner, Jeremiah also played baseball and tennis at the college level and has competed in half and full marathons. His current athletic focus is on competitive powerlifting.

Jeremiah brings a fun, safe, and consistent approach to training, with the mission of not only helping clients meet their goals—but also empowering them to push beyond what they thought possible.

While he’ll be teaching at Heart Space, Jeremiah’s home base is Fitness Unbound.

Beth Robbins

Beth Robbins

Yoga Teacher

Beth Robbins (she/her) has been a part of the Heart Space community for more than 20 years. At 83 years old, Beth practices daily and is convinced that Yoga keeps her strong and fit. Andrea and her practices have opened a whole world of possibility to Beth and her students.

Beth currently teaches Chair Yoga on Fridays at 11:00am, and is a substitute teacher for a wide variety of other classes at Heart Space.

Felicia White

Felicia White

Yoga Teacher

When Felicia White (she/her) isn’t outside bathing in nature—hiking trails, resting under a tree, or writing—she can often be found on the mat moving through asanas. She has been practicing yoga since the age of nineteen, when she first fell in love with the practice and felt the beginning of a profound internal shift. As her inner awareness deepened, so did her curiosity and desire to share the gift of yoga with her community.

Felicia completed her Yoga Teacher Training at Heart Space Yoga in 2019 and has since taught at various studios around the Northeast Kingdom. Her passion lies in integrating psychology, somatics, and yoga—offering a holistic approach to the practice while honoring its ancient roots. She currently teaches at Stadium Fitness in Danville and is deeply excited to be offering a class at her “home” studio..
