Marci Mikesell is a Level 2 (500-hour) certified Kundalini Yoga instructor. She first came to the practice of yoga through a weekly Hatha class in 2012, looking for ways to deal with life’s stresses. After attending a local Kundalini workshop in the summer of 2016 and experiencing its deeply transformative benefits, she went on to complete Kundalini yoga teacher training at the Guru Ram Das Ashram in Millis, Massachusetts in June of 2018. She has been teaching weekly classes in St. Johnsbury ever since, including a Sunday morning class at Heart Space Yoga & Movement Center since November of 2019. She is continuing to develop her own practice through ongoing Level 2 training courses and welcomes the opportunity to share this powerful exercise, breathing, and meditation techniques with others.

After turning being an awkward teenager into an art form, Joe started practicing yoga so as to help him become a multi-instrumentalist artist with a Ph.D. in philosophy and a blackbelt in both humility and sarcasm. His vinyasa classes draw inspiration from Hatha, Katona, and Ashtanga yoga (as well as some pilates), and are structured around a sequence that he developed for his own practice. Joe likes to flow and so his classes consist of plenty of movement which is structured so as to develop three key aspects of one’s practice: hip-openers for emotional depth; core work for personal strength; and backbends for metaphysical transcendence. With plenty of modifications to suit all levels of ability, these classes are for anyone who wants to either maintain or improve their yoga practice.

I have had a long time interest in the human body and how it works. My passion grew deeper when I started practicing yoga in 2011, both on my own and at Heartspace. When I discovered how it could help me not only physically, but with healing my own trauma, I wanted to dig deeper. I wanted to change my story. So fate brought me to Andrea’s 200 hr YTT and I haven’t looked back since. The dance of breath and body is such a healing process. My passion is to help others heal as well. I went on to become certified to teach yoga to traumatic brain injury victims through the Love Your Brain Foundation. With my love of food and how it healed me after a chronic health issue, I also became a certified Holistic Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in 2020. I also have a love for Yin Yoga, as well as Yoga Nidra and Guided Imagery Meditation. I am currently working on writing my own imagery meditations, which I cannot wait to share! I truly believe in movement and food as the ultimate medicine.

Hello, My name is Katherine Anderson, Holistic Wellness coach, Yoga instructor RYT 200, Reiki Level 2 Practitioner, avid Journaler, and an ex-corporate captive. I am the Creator behind The Renegade Sage. I teach restorative yoga classes and work with clients one on one to create personalized yoga plans. I am currently offering hour long Reiki sessions, specifically focused on clearing family trauma through the energetic body. I am also accepting clients for Holistic Wellness Coaching, which centers on the balance of mind, body, and spirit. After a back injury in my early 20’s, where I was told by 40 I would be in a wheelchair, I began my own life long healing journey. In essence, the deep internal practice of Yoga created a container for me to gain back a mobile life. The injury and the practice brought me into the community of alternative healing modalities and allowed me to heal in diverse ways, physically, emotionally and spiritually, culminating in a BA in Holistic Health.

Sharing these modalities and partnering with individuals through their unique healing journey is my passion, and I would love to hear about your healing journey!
